The Hunter Region’s newest golf and entertainment destination officially breaks ground on the former Tom’s Golf Range site

A New Chapter for the Hunter

Construction is officially underway at Swing Factory Maitland, marking an exciting milestone in our national growth story. Set on the former Tom’s Golf Range site, this multi-million-dollar build will bring a state-of-the-art golf and entertainment destination to the Hunter Region. One that blends world-leading golf technology, premium hospitality and family-friendly experiences under one roof.

It’s the next chapter in our vision to build Australia’s first nationwide network of modern golf entertainment venues, and Maitland is shaping up to be one of our most exciting yet.

What’s Coming to Maitland

Expected to open in mid-2027, Swing Factory Maitland will feature:

  • 26 all-weather driving range bays with Toptracer Range technology
  • An 18-hole architect-designed mini golf course
  • A modern clubhouse and event spaces
  • Food and beverage experiences made for hanging out
  • A lineup of experiences made for golfers and non-golfers alike

Whether you’re working on your swing, bringing the family for a day out, or looking for a standout venue for your next event, Swing Factory Maitland is being built to welcome you in.

A Place for Everyone

Swing Factory Maitland is set to become a genuine sporting and social hub for the Hunter, somewhere golfers can sharpen their game, families can spend an afternoon together, and corporate groups can host something a little different. Our CEO Erich Weber put it simply: breaking ground here is a proud moment, and the vision from day one has been to bring together the best of golf, entertainment and hospitality in one place.

“The Hunter is one of Australia’s great sporting regions,” Weber said, “and we believe Swing Factory will become a place where people can come together — whether they’re serious golfers looking to improve, families searching for a fun day out, or businesses wanting a unique venue for events and functions.” He also shared how overwhelmed the team has been by the support so far, and how much they’re looking forward to welcoming the Hunter community through the doors.

Part of Something Bigger

Maitland joins a growing national footprint for Swing Factory, with venues already open at Terrey Hills in Sydney and Morack Public Golf in Melbourne, and developments progressing in Moreton Bay, Illawarra, Southern Sydney and Greater Melbourne. With seven sites now secured, we’re well on our way to building Australia’s first nationwide network of modern golf entertainment destinations, and Maitland is a big part of that story.
