A long-term lease with Bayside Council paves the way for our flagship venue.
Swing Factory Sydney has officially locked in its home. We’ve secured a long-term lease with Bayside Council to redevelop the Barton Park Driving Range into a flagship entertainment destination, which is set to become a cornerstone of the $32 million Riverine Park Masterplan.
This isn’t just another venue for us. Swing Factory Sydney is being designed as our showcase site, the clearest expression yet of where we’re taking golf entertainment across Australia. It’s the next step in a national network that already spans venues operating and under development across NSW, VIC and QLD, and this one’s shaping up to be our biggest statement so far.
A Destination Built for Everyone
Swing Factory Sydney is being designed around one idea: there’s a place here for everyone, whether you’re chasing a lower handicap or just looking for a great afternoon out. The proposed development will bring together:
- 56 premium driving range bays across two levels, each fitted with Toptracer Range technology and adjoining lounge areas
- An architecturally designed 18-hole mini golf course
- Four pickleball courts and two padel courts
- A modern clubhouse with food and beverage facilities
- Outdoor dining terraces, cabanas and event spaces
- Flexible indoor and outdoor spaces for corporate functions, community events, celebrations and kids parties
Toptracer at the Heart of the Experience
Every bay across both levels will be fitted with Toptracer Range technology, giving golfers of every level real-time shot tracking and instant feedback. It’s the same technology used by tour pros, built into a space designed for practice, play and pure enjoyment.
Somewhere to Linger, Not Just Visit
Swing Factory Sydney is being shaped as a genuine destination. Somewhere the food and beverage offering, dining terraces and event spaces invite people to stay for hours, not just swing and go. Between the clubhouse, cabanas and courts, it’s built for long lunches, weekend catch-ups, corporate functions and kids parties alike.
Why Arncliffe, Why Now
For Swing Factory CEO Erich Weber, this project carries extra weight. “I grew up in southern Sydney, just a few minutes’ drive from the Riverine Park site, and spent countless hours playing junior golf at Botany Golf Club, where I first fell in love with the game,” Weber said. “To now have the opportunity to help deliver a facility of this calibre back into the community that shaped my golfing journey is incredibly rewarding.”
It’s a project he sees as central to what Swing Factory is building nationally. “Swing Factory Sydney will become our flagship venue within a growing network of Swing Factory venues across Australia. It brings together world-class golf technology, premium hospitality, family entertainment and community recreation into one destination that people will want to visit time and time again,” he said. “Our vision is to create a venue that appeals to everyone, from serious golfers looking to improve their game through Toptracer technology, through to families, social groups, corporate events and people simply looking for a great place to play, socialise and spend time together.”
Bayside Council has been a key partner in bringing the project to life, with Weber noting the collaborative approach throughout the process. Bayside Mayor Edward McDougall echoed that shared vision for the site: “Riverine Park is an incredible sporting and recreational hub in the heart of Bayside… I am confident this new facility will ensure lasting benefits for golfers, recreational park users, families and the wider community to enjoy.”
What’s Next
Subject to final approvals, Swing Factory Sydney is expected to open in late 2028. It’s an early milestone in a much bigger journey, and we’ll be sharing more as the project progresses, from design details through to construction.
